Certain consumer rights may vary depending on your country of residence. Where mandatory local consumer protection laws apply, those rights will take precedence.
1. Right of Return (Cooling-Off Period)
If you are purchasing as a consumer in a jurisdiction that provides a statutory “cooling-off” or withdrawal right (such as the European Union), you have the right to request a return within 14 days of receiving your order, without providing a reason. Shipping Fee / 送料: Standard shipping within Japan is free of charge. 日本国内への通常配送料は無料です。

Return Period / 返品期限: Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your item. 商品到着後7日以内にご連絡ください。

Customer Preference Returns / お客様都合による返品: If you return an item for personal reasons (e.g., size issue, change of mind), the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost. Additionally, the actual outbound shipping cost originally covered by SMOKE will be deducted from your refund. お客様都合(サイズが合わない、イメージと異なる等)による返品の場合、返送送料は**お客様負担(元払い)**となります。また、返金時には、当店が負担した発送時の実費送料を差し引かせていただきます。

Exchanges / 交換: For size or color exchanges, the customer is responsible for all round-trip shipping costs (the cost of returning the item to SMOKE and the shipping cost for the replacement item). サイズやカラーの交換をご希望の場合、往復の送料(当店への返送分および当店からの再発送分)はお客様のご負担となります。

Defective Items / 不良品・誤送: If the item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, SMOKE will cover all return and replacement shipping costs. 万一、商品に不備があった場合やご注文と異なる商品が届いた場合は、当店負担にて交換・返品を承ります。
2. Return Conditions

3. Non-Refundable Charges (International)
In the case of an international return due to customer preference, the following costs are non-refundable where permitted by law:

Any loss due to exchange rate fluctuations
4. Duties & Taxes (Important for International Orders)
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) Orders (USA&EU):
Import duties and taxes prepaid by SMOKE are generally
not recoverable and will be deducted from your refund.
DAP (Delivered At Place) Orders
(Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Oceania, and others):
Hong Kong: As a free trade port, Hong Kong typically
does not impose customs duties or VAT on our products.
No additional tax should be due upon delivery.
Singapore: Any GST paid by the customer to local
authorities upon delivery is not refundable by SMOKE.
Taiwan & Korea: Any duties or taxes paid by the customer
to local authorities are not refundable by SMOKE.
Oceania & Others: Any duties or taxes paid by the
customer to local authorities are not refundable by SMOKE.
5. International Shipping & Return Shipping

Return Shipping: International customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping. Please use a trackable method as SMOKE is not responsible for lost return shipments.

Inbound Duties: If import duties are charged to SMOKE when returned goods re-enter Japan, those amounts will be deducted from your refund.
6. How to Initiate a Return
Before sending any items back, please contact us via our [Contact Form] or email: info [at] smoke-kyoto.com. Please include: Your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason. Returns sent without prior contact may be refused.
7. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the status. Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Final refund amounts may vary slightly due to exchange rate fluctuations.
8. Final Sale Items
Items marked as Final Sale or sold during specific promotional campaigns may not be eligible for return, except where required by law.
