Notice for Residents of Japan: This policy is written in English as our primary language. For your convenience, specific information regarding free domestic shipping within Japan is provided in both English and Japanese in the [Domestic Shipping (Japan)] section below. 日本居住者の皆さまへ： 本ポリシーは英語を正文としておりますが、日本国内への送料無料に関する規定については、下部の [Domestic Shipping (Japan) / 日本国内への配送について] セクションに日英併記で記載しております。
SMOKE ships internationally from Kyoto, Japan. Shipping fees, delivery methods, and any applicable free shipping thresholds vary by destination. All costs are calculated and displayed at checkout.
- Delivery Regions & Import Terms
The responsibility for import duties and taxes depends on the destination:
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) Regions: (USA and EU)
Import duties and VAT/GST are included in the total price at checkout.
Generally, no additional charges are required upon delivery.
DAP (Delivered At Place) Regions: (Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Oceania, and others)
Import duties and taxes are not included in the purchase price.
Note for Hong Kong: As a free trade port, Hong Kong typically does not impose customs duties on our products.
Note for Taiwan & Korea: Applicable duties and taxes must be paid by the customer to local authorities upon delivery.
Note for Singapore: Approx. 9% GST will apply and must be paid by the customer to local authorities upon delivery.
Note for Other Regions: For Australia, New Zealand, and other countries, applicable duties and taxes must be paid by the customer to local authorities upon delivery.
Domestic Shipping (Japan) / 日本国内への配送について For orders shipped within Japan, the following terms apply: 日本国内への配送を伴うご注文については、以下の規約が適用されます。
Shipping Fee / 送料: Standard shipping within Japan is free of charge for all orders. 日本国内への通常配送料は、ご購入金額に関わらず無料です。
Carrier / 配送業者: Orders are shipped via Yamato Transport, Sagawa Express, or Japan Post, depending on the size and destination of the package. ヤマト運輸、佐川急便、または日本郵便にて、配送サイズおよび配送先に応じて発送いたします。
Delivery Time / お届け時期: Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days. Delivery usually takes 1–2 days after shipment (excluding remote islands). 通常、ご注文から1〜3営業日以内に発送いたします。発送後、翌日〜翌々日（離島を除く）にお手元に届きます。
Returns Note / 返品時の注意: As stated in our Returns & Refund Policy, if an item is returned for personal reasons, the initial shipping cost originally covered by SMOKE will be deducted from your refund. 返品ポリシーに記載の通り、お客様都合による返品の際は、当店が負担した発送時の実費送料を差し引いて返金させていただきます。
- Shipping Methods & Order Processing
International Carriers: We primarily use DHL Express or other premium carriers for fast and reliable global delivery.
Processing Time: Orders are processed within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and Japanese public holidays). Store closures or holiday delays will be announced via our website banner and Instagram account.
- Customs & Compliance
International shipments may be subject to customs inspections which are outside SMOKE's control. Customers may be required to provide tax IDs or identity verification to local authorities to complete clearance.
- Address Accuracy & Refused Shipments
Accuracy: Customers are responsible for providing an accurate address in English (or the local language for domestic orders).
Returned Shipments: If a shipment is returned due to an incorrect address, failure to pay local duties, or refusal to accept the package, the customer will be responsible for the original outbound shipping cost, return shipping charges, and any incurred customs fees. These will be deducted from your refund.
